Ocean Marina is now famous throughout the Gulf of Thailand and in fact all of South East Asia hosting as it does premier events such as the award winning Top of the Gulf Regatta and the 5th Pattaya Boat show that just might prove to be the biggest and best yet with an extensive display of great looking boats and lifestyle products. With 22 boats up to 119 foot in length at last year’s show, organisers are planning an even bigger display this November and have expanded the in-water display space to accommodate the increased interest.

Since launching Ocean Marina Pattaya Boat Show five years ago we have seen considerable growth in marine tourism and boat use in the Gulf of Thailand. The boat show has helped to position this region as a leading marine destination in South East Asia. Both the number of boat owners overseas choosing Ocean Marina to base their boats and the number of Thai people buying boats in the region has increased, and this trend looks to continue,” said Mr. Scott Finsten, Harbour Master, Ocean Marina.

There will be some great luxury yachts to view such as the Ocean Emerald super yacht designed by Norman Foster and based at Ocean Marina for the whole of the charter season. Also for the first time Monte Carlo Luxury Yachts such as the magnificent MCY 86

With an overall length of 26.30 mts (86ft) The MCY 86 has a cruise speed of 24km and a maximum speed of 29km.Also its sumptuous interior houses precious woods and materials such as white alabaster, marble and even mosaics made from Venetian Murano glass. Even the fabrics and accessories are selected from premier designer fashion houses such as Hermes and Armani.

Such opulent luxury is bound to appeal to the number of Thais coming to Pattaya from Bangkok who have increasingly come to enjoy the boating lifestyle here over the last 5 years. In fact Ocean Marina’s close proximity to the capital makes it a desirable coastal destination and weekend getaway for the capital’s 8+ million inhabitants and more and more Thai people are visiting the Ocean Marina Pattaya Boat show to research boating, buy from the show and learn about the possibilities of chartering boats to enjoy the beautiful nearby waters with 43 islands only 1 hour away by boat.

Having recognised this growth in boating interest and subsequent need for more berths, Ocean Marina has undergone a phased expansion over recent years and is now, with 380 berths for boats up to 50 metres, the largest marina in South East Asia.

In addition to the impressive line-up of boats, cars and luxury lifestyle exhibitors, highlights for visitors to the Pattaya Boat Show include daily yacht cruises, kayak and paddleboat trials, jetpack flying board demonstrations, games, a food and drinks festival, and the Boat and Yacht Thailand Conference. The organizers are expecting more the 6,000 visitors this year and early exhibitor confirmations for the show include top dealerships : Simpson Marine and Boat Lagoon with yachting and luxury boat brands : Azimut Yachts, Beneteau, Cranchi, CNB Yachts, Jeanneau, Lagoon, Monte Carlo Yachts, Prestige, Princess Yachts, Viking Yachts,Wider, Admiral and San Lorenzo.
