Back to 125 years ago, it was counted that the first cinema shows in form of Thai Entertainment as evidenced by Bangkok Time Journal Newspaper of the 9th.June 1897 issue. The newspaper reported that Mr. S.G. Makowski brought the cinema at night of 10,11 and 12 June 1897 and showed as entertainment at His Serene Highness Prince Alangkarn’s Theatre. The first group of audiences comprising 600 Thais. According to Bangkok Time Journal of 11th. June 1897 issue, the audiences’ reaction to the Parisian Cinematography Show in this theatre was so fascinating. It was not the film feather but the events in different shots such as the diving sport and boxing that was so realistic and impressed.
125 ปี การฉายภาพยนตร์ในประเทศไทย
ย้อนไปเมื่อ 125 ปีก่อน เป็นครั้งแรกในการฉายภาพยนตร์ในรูปแบบมหรสพไทย ซึ่งปรากฏเป็นหลักฐานในหนังสือพิมพ์รายวัน “บางกอกไตม์” ฉบับวันที่ 9 มิถุนายน 2440 ว่า นายเอส.จี.มาคอฟสกี้ เป็นผู้นำภาพยนตร์มาฉายในคืนวันที่ 10 11 และ 12 มิถุนายน 2440 โดยจัดฉายในรูปแบบมหรสพที่โรงละครหม่อมเจ้าอลังการ โดยมีชาวไทยกว่า 600 คน เป็นผู้ชมกลุ่มแรก หนังสือพิพม์บางกอกไตม์ ฉบับวันที่ 11 มิถุนายน 2440 ได้บรรยายปฏิกิริยาคนดูว่า การเล่นที่เรียกว่า ปาริเซิน ซีเนมาโตรแครฟ ในโรงละครหม่อมเจ้าอลังการน่าดูมาก ไม่ใช่ภาพยนตร์เรื่อง แต่เป็นภาพเคลื่อนไหวเป็นชอทๆ อาทิเช่น การประดาน้ำ และ การต่อยมวย อย่างเสมือนจริงและน่าชมทุกอย่าง
