Premier League Returns: A Season of High Stakes.

 Arsenal will no doubt be there or thereabouts again in the coming season but their inability to actually get over the line must be of some concern. The near 200 million they have splashed out in the transfer market this close season shows plenty of intent to do just that and they must be contenders.

And what of Champions Liverpool? The tragedy that has befallen the Jota family with the death of Diogo and his brother has overshadowed the close season at the Merseyside club and I can only see this terrible incident adding extra steel to their determination to carry on where they left off last season. They will be extremely tough to beat again this year.

It would take a major leap of faith to think that any other team will show the necessary improvement to be involved in the race for the title and it surely rests between these four.

In the middle of this lowest of all low seasons, it’s good to see the big leagues back and hopefully it will bring people out again to enjoy a few cold beers in the bars throughout the city and help to alleviate a tough time for the owners.
