It was a great honour when on Thursday May 25th as President of Rotary Club Eastern Seaboard I had the special honour to pin Ms. Kamala Skol, president of the Sukosol Hotels and Sukosol Group as our “youngest” Paul Harris Fedllow. The PHF pin and certificate were offered to Kamala Sukosol and her enterprise (founders and owners of “our” hotel Siam Bayshore) as a token of our appreciation for the excellent services our club have always experienced and in honour of the many charity activities they undertake.

A Paul Harris Fellow recognition (named after the founder of Rotary) is an acknowledgement provided by the Foundation to individuals (not only Rotarians) who have contributed in making our world a better place by serving humanity.Incidentally by reading the family biography of Kamala Sukosol, we learned that her late father Kamol Sukosol was also named a Paul Harris Fellow for his extensive philanthropic work, which is now continued by his daughter.

After the presentation – members and guests of RCES were invited to an excellent dinner in the Sunrise–Sunset Restaurant of the Siam Bayshore Hotel. Then at the end of the evening they were presented with farewell gifts which express two passions of this dynamic and successful business lady: Music CDs where she is performing as a Jazz and Latin Singer, sometimes supported by her son, daughter and granddaughter and also a beautiful photo picture book “Decorating with flowers” that reveals the secret of the special ambiance in all the Sukosol houses, which makes every stay and visit so special for the guests.
