Sunseeker Predator 115
By Kevin Cain
As Pattaya gears up for the marine event of the year The Pattaya Boat show 2016 in November, we here at Chaiyapruk Towers thought it might be a good idea to focus upon one of the most desirable yachts on the market today, namely the Sunseeker Predator 115. Let's face it, the Predator 115 is a really cool looking, with its black hull looking aggressively menacing as it cuts through the waves, like a shark seeking prey.
Smaller than her sister the 130 it has enabled Sunseeker to reduce the price somewhat, whilst at the same time there is plenty of flybridge and foredeck space giving the impression you are on a much larger yacht. The Sunseeker Predator trademark angular windows feature heavily and combined with the black hull and the white superstructure accentuate the lines all designed to give the effect of forward motion.
The main saloon is to say the least opulent, with a retractable TV dividing the dining area which seats up to ten guests. The galley is placed just forward of the dining area and has a well equipped kitchen with enough huge fridges and freezers to store enough supplies to last a minimum of a week.
One of the main features of the yacht is the full beam owner's suite. This is luxury you would expect from Sunseeker, it has a huge shower with side sprouts and a large bathtub with multiple water jets. Descending to the lower deck, there is a small lobby and four guest cabins, which can be doubles or twins. Sunseeker say it is possible to merge two of these cabins to form a second master suite. All the cabins are ensuite and have walk-in closets.
But the Predator 115 keeps it's real jewel and prowess so everybody can see, the flybridge is a jewel. The helm station is the focal part of the yacht, there is a very extensive wet bar and grill service station on the port side, set against a huge settee. Aft, there is a centrally-aligned jacuzzi with a glass side facing forward. This is surrounded by a number of sunpads for soaking up the rays.
The Predator series is part of Sunseeker's performance yachts, and although the 115 is not particularly the fastest around it still has a very respectable top speed of 26 knots and a comfortable cruising speed of 20 knots. At £9.1 million, the Predator 115 provides a very economical superyacht solution, as its bigger brother the Predator 130 comes in around £13.7. Buyers of the 115 will certainly get a great deal for their money and that is why it is becoming a very popular choice in Asia.
