MMA is coming to town and Full Metal Dojo is the name to remember
One of the cultural aspects of Thailand that has always captivated me is Muay Thai. I have always had a huge amount of respect and admiration towards these warriors, the daily perseverance and effort they put in in order to become a champion is just amazing. That said, I never quite felt at home when I was going to the stadium to see an event live: The double standard when it comes to pricing (foreigners generally have to pay 5 times as much), the loud traditional music that is played loudlyover bad PA’s and without brakes, the screaming gambling masses that shout out uncontrollably every single time a punch is delivered or blocked. Don't get me wrong, I do appreciate the high energy and all, but it just becomes too much for me after an hour or so.
“MMA is slowly but surely setting up in Thailand, and the guys from Full Metal Dojo have made it their life objective to make the most popular sport in the world a standard feature on everybody's calendar ”
I'm only saying all of this because as of February 21st 2015, I seem to have found the perfect event that satisfies my hunger for a slight violent approach to sportsmanship: MMA is slowly but surely setting up in Thailand, and the guys from Full Metal Dojo have made it their life objective to make the most popular sport in the world a standard feature on everybody's calendar (and they do do an amazing job at it).
Who is the Full Metal Dojo?
These guys are pretty much responsible for all the top notch international MMA events in Thailand. With 4 successful country-wide (Phuket and Bangkok thus far) events under their belt and a few more in the pipeline (with hopefully one of them held right here in Pattaya), they have already established themselves as the top dog in the ever expanding industry of MMA.

Another exciting piece of news is that a Pattaya event is a definitely a possibility for the FMD. With our rather large collection of stadiums, gyms, training camps and fighters roaming around the streets of sin city, we can rest assured there are plan’s in the making to bring the world’s most popular sport to us! For now however, I’ll leave you with the main channels that the Full Metal Dojo uses to keep in touch with it’s followers, hope to see you around the octagon soon!
Keep up to day with MMA in Thailand:
