Pattaya International Ladies Club

Pattaya International Ladies Club welcomes ladies from all over the world who share a common goal:
“a wish to create a social network with lots of friendly faces.” In fact “lots of friendly faces” will be there to greet you whenever you attend a PILC function.

In fact “lots of friendly faces” will be there to greet you whenever you attend a PILC function.

Their aim is to make all new guests feel welcome and they will try to pair you with someone from your own country or someone with similar interests as yourself, especially if English is not your first language.

The Pattaya International Ladies Club was established in 1987 with a small group of 30 women and has now increased to a present-day membership of over 200 women of all ages, from 34 countries, and all walks of life. With the growth of PILC has come the opportunity to offer a wide range of activities and social events, and the ability to raise funds for charitable causes.

Currently members participate in golf, tennis, a book group, mahjong, bowling, badminton, bridge and many more activities as well as assisting many local charitable organizations.

Moving to a new part of the world is never easy, especially when moving to unfamiliar surroundings away from family and friends. Some women who previously had busy working and social lives can suddenly find themselves with lots of spare time on their hands. The lunch and coffee mornings are friendly social events with guest speakers or themes and information on upcoming events and activities.

The club’s last coffee morning took place at Linda’s restaurant. Over 40 ladies attended to catch-up with old friends, meet new ones and enjoy the wonderful finger-food on offer. Helle Rantsen, PILC President, made a ‘heroic’ welcome speech. After all, she had arrived at the function directly from Denmark; ‘suitcases and all’  and Joyce Aldridge conducted the raffle where a sum of 3,600  baht was raised.

This Month’s PILC coffee morning will be on Tuesday 16th at the New Nordic restaurant and every month there is a new members coffee morning where you can go to find out more about the PILC:

“Why not visit us at the newcomers coffee morning every last Monday of the month from 11 am in Restaurant Casa Pascal”
